The mountains are high, and the trails are steep. So come prepared for a little grunt work and some spectacular riding.

Where to Stay

Nelson is the hub of the area with a selection of hotels, restaurants and shopping. There are a huge selection of biking trails nearby and only about a 30 min to a 1 hour drive to the other trail networks in the West Kootenays.

If you want to be able to park your car at the end of the day after riding and walk to everything, look for a place close to Baker Street. The Hume Hotel is a heritage hotel that has modern rooms while keeping the heritage feel in their Mike’s Place Pub and Library Lounge. You can relax in their Aura Spa and get a massage for your tired muscles. If you are interested in a smaller, quieter place, the Cloudside Hotel is a boutique hotel one block off Baker Street.

Where to Get Parts and Repairs
