seven summits small trail map with link to Seven Summits trail on Trailforks One of the most epic rides around, the Seven Summits is part of the Rossland Trail network. It is a one way trail for 29km with an additional five kilometer descent on the Dewdney Trail if the rider still has energy after the Seven Summits Ride. Beginning with a little over a 7 km climb up to the alpine to gain some superior views off both sides of the mountain the trail travels along the ridges and valleys of seven mountains, wraps around the back side of Red Mountain ski hill, and continues south to the Cascade Highway to finish. Linking right into the Dewdney Trail, the rider can take this blue rated descent for a little bit of fun flowy downhill to top off an epic day. For the average rider, you should plan at least 5-8 hours to complete the trail. Take plenty of food and water with you are there is only one stop to refill you water from a spring about half way along the trail.
